Since the fall and winter of 2022–23, our team at Activating Love has been walking alongside communities across El Salvador where women and children faced unimaginable hardship. In many of these homes, the primary breadwinners—often men—were incarcerated during the nationwide anti-gang measures, leaving families without income and at risk of starvation.

To respond to this urgent need, we launched a simple but powerful initiative: $12 food packets designed to feed an entire family for about a month. Each packet became more than just a meal—it became a message of hope, reminding families that they were not forgotten.

As our work grew, new doors opened. Through partnerships with organizations such as the Moody Foundation and Floracion Foundation, we began receiving donations of food, clothing, and toys from the United States to be distributed directly to those in need across El Salvador. This allowed us to become a trusted bridge between generous donors and struggling families, ensuring that every resource reached the hands of those who needed it most.

Our presence in these communities wasn’t just about providing supplies—it was about rekindling hope. Every family we met, every prayer shared, and every child who smiled reminded us why this mission matters. With continued support, we estimate that our efforts will reach up to 1,000 families per year, creating not just moments of relief but pathways to long-term restoration.
